This little freebie is from Acerca del bordado…. Entitled 'Metamorphosis', the downloadable pdf contains a series of 4 butterflies emerging at different stages. I envisioned them in either pastel overdyed threads or black silhouette as seen above.
Stitched on 28 count pewter Jobelan using 2 stands black silk thread 1/1. Embellished with lace, organdy ribbon, pearl tipped pins, and the button is an antique from my grandmother's stash. A quiet brilliant little butterfly trying its wings on a moonlit night --button is the moon :-)
